About
I have been acting professionally in the Boston Area for 20+ years. I graduated from Brandeis University with an MFA in acting, and began teaching about 9 years ago. After adjunct teaching at colleges all over town, I happily landed as an Assistant Professor of Theatre at Boston Conservatory at Berklee in 2019, where I teach acting, a wellness and community focused class called The Actor’s Toolkit, audition prep, and more.
Since 2009 I have received multiple Elliot Norton awards in acting, and have been directed by many of the hottest directors in the business including David Cromer, Tyne Rafaeli, Jenny Koons, Curt Columbus, Melia Bensussen, Kimberly Senior, Bartlett Sher, and film directors Wes Anderson and Lisa Cholodenko.
As much as acting has shaped my identity since childhood, I feel truly most alive and in the zone while working on scripts with actors. I believe my approach is practical, detailed, collaborative, and filled with joy and good humor. I value actors feeling safe, having agency, and finding their favorite selves in all kinds of material.
I live in Cambridge and I enjoy reading, swimming, plays, movies, and hanging out with my husband, actor/teacher Jesse Hinson, and our two cats Moti and Tonka.
